Security Built Around High-Rise Operations
A high-rise building has more access decisions than the front lobby. Residents, guests, delivery drivers, contractors, maintenance teams, and property staff move through shared entrances, garages, elevators, amenity spaces, service areas, and restricted rooms throughout the day. Each opening needs to support the way that part of the building is actually used.
Goldy Locks helps Chicagoland property managers, condo boards, and building owners coordinate access control, cameras, intercoms, alarms, commercial doors, and door hardware around those traffic patterns. Access permissions can also extend to elevator controls, helping management limit movement beyond the lobby when the system and building setup allow it.
The result is a security plan that is easier to manage as residents, staff, and vendors change. Instead of treating locks, doors, and electronic systems as separate problems, Goldy Locks can evaluate how the full opening works together and recommend practical upgrades based on the building.
High-Rise Building Security Services
Coordinate access, visibility, entry hardware, and protection across the property.

High-Rise Access Control
Manage resident, staff, contractor, and vendor permissions without relying on traditional keys alone. Goldy Locks can configure controlled entry for doors and, where appropriate, elevator access so management can adjust credentials as building needs change.

Commercial Alarm Systems
Add monitored intrusion protection around selected doors and building areas. Commercial alarm systems can help detect unauthorized entry and provide alerts when activity requires attention, giving management another layer of oversight outside normal operations.

Video Intercom Systems
Give residents or staff a clearer way to verify visitors before granting entry. Intercom systems can support controlled lobby access while helping buildings manage guests, deliveries, service providers, and after-hours arrivals more consistently.

Security Cameras
Improve visibility at entrances, garages, lobbies, package areas, and other shared spaces. Commercial camera systems can support live viewing and recorded review, helping authorized building staff verify activity around areas that matter most.

Commercial Doors & Hardware
Busy high-rise openings depend on more than the lock. Goldy Locks installs commercial doors, frames, closers, panic hardware, locks, and related components so heavily used entrances can close, latch, and secure properly.

Fire Alarm Systems
Goldy Locks provides commercial fire alarm installation, monitoring, testing, maintenance, and repair. For high-rise properties, the system scope can be planned around the building, local requirements, and the existing fire alarm infrastructure.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Lincoln Park Tower Door & Accessibility Upgrades
Lincoln Park Tower needed updates at several shared-access openings. The existing project notes identified outdated security doors along with an accessibility issue involving the door operator serving the laundry facilities. Instead of treating the work as a single lock or hardware problem, the project required attention to multiple parts of the opening.
Goldy Locks replaced the security doors, troubleshot the ADA operator leading to the laundry area, and updated door hardware. The work addressed both the condition of the doors and the components residents rely on to move through shared spaces.
For a high-rise property, that coordination matters. A door can be physically sound but still create problems if the operator, hardware, or access components are not functioning correctly. The Lincoln Park Tower project shows the value of evaluating the complete opening and correcting the specific issues affecting daily building use.
High-Rise Building Security FAQs
What security systems make sense for a high-rise condo or apartment building?
The right mix depends on how the building is used. Common needs include access control, cameras, intercoms, commercial doors and hardware, intrusion alarms, and fire alarm systems. A property assessment helps determine which openings and shared areas need electronic control, monitoring, repair, or replacement.
