LA Fitness Emergency Door & Frame Replacement

A heavily used emergency exit is an important part of a fitness center’s door system. At an LA Fitness location in Chicago, Goldy Locks was brought in to replace an emergency exit door and frame at one of the facility’s critical access points.

Our team replaced the opening with commercial-grade components selected for the demands of regular use. The project included a CECO metal frame and US26D hinges to support dependable door movement. A Pemko neoprene door sweep was also installed to improve the seal at the bottom of the opening and help reduce drafts.

Addressing the complete opening, rather than focusing on a single piece of hardware, allowed the door, frame, hinges, and sealing components to function together as a system. For busy fitness facilities, that matters because high-use openings need to operate consistently every time they are used.
