Retail Security Built Around Store Operations
Retail properties have different security demands throughout the day. Customers need convenient access to the sales floor, employees move between public and staff-only spaces, deliveries arrive through separate entrances, and stockrooms, offices, cash-handling areas, and rear doors may require tighter control.
Goldy Locks helps Chicagoland retailers connect these needs through access control, security cameras, commercial alarms, intercoms, and dependable commercial doors and hardware. Instead of treating each component as an isolated product, we can address the openings and systems that affect how people enter, exit, work, and move merchandise through the store. Goldy Locks, Inc.
That coordinated approach gives managers better control over employee access, clearer visibility into activity, and reliable entrances that can stand up to everyday customer and staff traffic.
Retail Security Services
Security solutions designed around customer traffic, employee access, inventory, and store operations.

Retail Access Control
Control access to stockrooms, offices, employee entrances, and other staff-only areas. Permissions can be adjusted as employees or responsibilities change, giving managers more control than relying on shared keys alone.

Commercial Alarm Systems
Protect the store after closing with professionally installed commercial alarm equipment selected around the property’s entrances and security needs. Alarm protection can add another layer of awareness when the building is unoccupied.

Retail Video Surveillance
Monitor sales floors, entrances, checkout areas, stockrooms, and exterior areas with cameras positioned around the store’s actual layout. Recorded footage also gives management a way to review specific incidents or activity later.

Retail Intercom Systems
Verify visitors, vendors, or deliveries at controlled entrances before providing access. Intercom systems can support audio or video communication and can work alongside access control where remote door release is appropriate.

Commercial Doors & Hardware
Retail entrances take constant use. Goldy Locks installs and services commercial doors, frames, closers, panic devices, locks, and related hardware so storefront and staff entrances operate consistently throughout the business day.

Fire Alarm Systems
Fire alarm solutions provide detection and notification for retail properties and can form part of a broader commercial security plan. Goldy Locks offers fire alarm systems alongside its other commercial security services.
RETAIL SECURITY EXPERIENCE
Different Store Areas Require Different Levels of Control
A customer entrance serves a very different purpose than a receiving door or stockroom entrance. Public areas need convenient movement, while employee-only spaces may require controlled credentials and back-of-house doors may need dependable hardware and tighter oversight. Goldy Locks can help retailers evaluate those individual openings instead of applying the same security approach throughout the entire store.

PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Discovery Clothing Store Door Closer Replacement
A busy retail entrance depends on door hardware that performs consistently throughout the day. At Discovery Clothing Store in Chicago, the existing front-door closer had worn out and was no longer operating as intended.
Goldy Locks replaced the failing closer with an Arrow DC314 door closer, installed securely at the main storefront entrance. The new closer provides controlled, consistent door movement suited to an entrance that experiences regular customer traffic.
The project is a good example of why retail security is not limited to electronic systems. The performance of the physical entrance matters too. Closers, locks, exit hardware, frames, and other components all affect how reliably an opening functions during normal store operations.
For retailers, addressing worn hardware before it becomes a larger door problem can help maintain a storefront entrance that customers and employees can use consistently.
The Discovery Clothing Store project and Arrow DC314 installation are based on verified project information supplied by Goldy Locks.
